A native Portlander, the young Andreas is a fashion grad from the Art Institute of Portland and a former intern for Suzi Johnson’s high-end knitwear line Souchi. DoomTown Productions will stage their annual Sweet F.A. Rock n Roll Fashion Show at Fez Ballroom on February 20, 2010, and Andreas will be in the lineup. Take a look at Andreas’ apparel, and one is keen to ask him what his design inspirations are. As a prelude to the upcoming show, Examiner got a chance to do just that, looking at a few of his jacket designs in particular as opportunities for Andreas' perspective. I find sometimes artists are understandably the least able to describe their own creative process. I suppose it can be a bit of a catch-22 to recapture it when so much creative output takes place in a flow-state of mind. Not so with Andreas however, who is articulate in his answers to questions that I am always so curious about.
